Having played in several other bands before, the six members of The Bionic Elbows got together in October 2002 to make rockīnīroll a thread again. The guys worked on songs and had their first gig on December, 14th 2002 at the bandīs rehearsal-room in Köln-Mülheim, Germany.
The first demo-cd "Romeo Agents" followed in February 2003, got recorded in the living-room of drummer Hulio Aerobic and was spread out to clubs, fanzines and sold at shows.
The Elbows appeared on some compilations and played more and more clubs throughout Germany presenting their mixture of action-loaded performance and first-class, sweatening garage-rockīnīroll.
As their musical influences the Elbows name bands like the New Bomb Turks, the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, the Hellacopters or the Tight Broīs.
In 2004 the band recorded their first album during February and April with audio-engineer Christoph Rath (Cellophane Suckers, Bratseth, Ten Buck Fuck, Backwood Creatures,
) and played live-gigs the whole year through. Finally with Fanboy Records from Hamburg a label is found and the first LP "The Bionic Elbows" got released in November 2005. As far as the band also wrote on new material since,
they went in the studio again July ī05 with Burning Ear Studios owner Paul "Grace" Smith to record some more demo material. October ī06 they toured a part of Germany together with great Die Rote Suzuki from Trier. This year a new album is planned. The bandīs gonna enter the studio around November together with their good olī buddy Fire J. Fox to record a bunch of hot new songs. The Elbows are still kickinī it. Soon at a club near you.
